My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and is in the hospital. She is coherent and can make her own decisions. I'm her healthcare proxy.
How can I get notarized witness pages added to her existing signed notarized POA from Nov 2021. Thanks!

Like Alva I'm confused about what you're trying to accomplish, you can't be witness to something after the fact, and since the existing POA is notarized I think that essentially accomplishes the same thing.

I really have no idea what you mean.

What documents have you been asked to present?
Your POA should be fine. It isn't even old.
But what need do you CURRENTLY have for a POA?

If your mother wishes to add to/change the POA she is coherent and can do so.
She should ask for a social worker to help her.
Most hospitals have a list of attorneys who will attend an in hospital patient.

In my own case when my brother was hospitalized following an accident the social workers suggested that he update her advance directive as it was two decades old. She supplied the directive, we filled it out, and a volunteer notary came to the hospital to witness our signatures.

Please be a bit more detailed for us, if you will, about what documents you or your mother want to make out while she is competent and while she is hospitalized.
We can perhaps then best direct you.
But do know that, in this case, the hospital Social Worker is your's and mom's best friend.
Do wish you both good luck.

OP, I wish you would come back and give us some more info. What you are describing is like a codicil. I have heard of this with a Will but not a POA. If Mom is competent, her POA is not in effect. What are you trying to add or change?

Agree with others that I'm not sure what was "witnessed"?
